Getting Started

1. Sign in

   Select Log In and authenticate using your Discord account.

   DailyBread uses Discord OAuth2 to authenticate you. Your Discord password is not provided to DailyBread.

2. Select a Server

   After signing in, DailyBread can display Discord servers relevant to your account.

   Servers where you have the necessary administrative permissions can be configured through DailyBread.

   If DailyBread has not yet been added to a server, you may be provided with an option to add the integration.

3. Select a Channel

   After selecting an authorized server, select the channel where you want DailyBread to operate.

   Your available channels depend on your Discord permissions and the DailyBread integration.

4. Create Your Content

   DailyBread can be used to create:

   • Standard Discord embeds;
   • Advanced Discord component layouts;
   • Scripture-based content;
   • Devotional content;
   • Custom text;
   • Links;
   • Images; and
   • Mentions.

   You are responsible for the content you create and send.

Bible Search

DailyBread can search supported Bible translations.

Bible availability depends on the applicable provider and translation license.

Some translations may have specific attribution or usage requirements.

Scripture Attribution

When required, DailyBread will display the applicable copyright or attribution information for the translation being used.

Do not remove required copyright or attribution information.

Sending to Discord

When you send content through DailyBread, the service may use a configured Discord webhook to deliver the content to the selected channel.

Delivery is not guaranteed.

A message may fail because of:

• A deleted webhook;
• Discord downtime;
• Rate limits;
• Permission changes;
• Network problems;
• Invalid configuration; or
• Other technical problems.

Mentions

DailyBread may support Discord mentions, including user, role, @everyone, and @here mentions.

Use mentions responsibly.

Server administrators remain responsible for deciding whether their communities permit these mentions.

Disconnecting Your Account

You can request to disconnect your DailyBread account.

Account-associated data is intended to be deleted within 7 days after disconnection, subject to security, legal, and backup requirements.

Data Export

You may request an export of records associated with your DailyBread account.

Exports may include account information, server relationships, channel relationships, configurations, user-generated DailyBread content, and relevant delivery records.

Security-sensitive credentials and internal security information are excluded.

Reporting Abuse

If you believe DailyBread is being used for:

• Spam;
• Webhook abuse;
• Unauthorized access;
• Malware;
• Discord moderation evasion;
• API abuse;
• Impersonation; or
• Other prohibited activity,

contact DailyBread Development through the support email or support server.

Bible Copyright Questions

Questions or concerns regarding Scripture licensing can be sent to:

DailyBread may restrict or remove a translation if its provider or rights holder changes the applicable licensing requirements.

Third-Party Services

DailyBread depends on services including Discord, Cloudflare, IONOS, YouVersion, API.Bible, PostgreSQL, and Supabase.

These services are independently operated and may have separate terms, privacy policies, licensing requirements, and availability.

Important

DailyBread is a free tool, but free access does not mean that third-party content is unrestricted.
